Close-Up Photo of Bernadette in her specially-designed death mask

Bernadette of Lourdes in her death mask today, her body having been declared uncorruptible back in 1925 when the mask was especially made in Paris and fitted upon her skull !

The Crystal Tomb of Bernadette in the Mask at Nevers, France

Bernadette of Lourdes in her crystal tomb ain the St. Gildard Convent of the Sisters of Charity at Nevers in France.

The Mask of Bernadette.

Lourdes today has more hotels than any French city except the Capital, Paris ! Over 400 million pilgrims have made their way there from all over the world and continue to visit there at a rate of 8 millions a year.

Little do they know, most of them, about the whereabouts of the body of Bernadette and the strange claims of the Catholic Church about the incorruptibility of her corpse. She is one of the many declared "Incorruptibles" in death, declared by the Church, right down from the time of the pious King of England Alfred the Great, whose body is declared incorruptible for a thousand years by the Church, although it seems his bones are buried under the central aisle of Westminster Abbey, London.

And Bernadette's body is virtually "hidden away" within the cloisters of the Mother House of her Order, The Sisters of Charity at Nevers in Central France just south of Paris, far away from Lourdes. It is contained in a Crystal Coffin there, but is far from uncorrupted ! Her skull is covered by a wax mask made in 1925 especially in Paris. Remove the mask and let us see !!!

Read the Church's own account :

http://www.catholicpilgrims.com/lourdes/bb_bernadette_body.htm

And note that three exhumations and multiple operations on Bernadette's body up to 1925 (we had the final report in 1928 by a Catholic doctor as described in the above url) are each attended by trusted Catholics only, no media present, no photographs.

I say, remove that mask and let us photograph her skull !!!

There is much strange about the so-called visitations and "miracles" of Lourdes, just as at Fatima and Knock, where such "visions" were also seen by peasants. I reckon these impoverished people were persuaded to state that they had seen apparitions, paid even to do so.

Such visions came at critical times for the Church, and always in Catholic countries such as France, Spain and Ireland at the time. Bernadette's visions have created a huge industry, but much more important they were used to promote the adoption and pronunciation by the Pope a few years later of the Doctrine of the Immaculate Conception, which was almost splitting the Church at the time.

Look this article up and see all the holes in it, produced as "evidence" by the "Faithfull" today who need such "miracles" to bolster their Faith.

The Creator has no need of such circuses !

http://www.catholicpilgrims.com/lourdes/bb_bernadette_body.htm

Historically, two thousand years ago Lourdes was the centre of the local Druid worship of the Goddess Belisama, and the cave where she appeared at Lourdes to little Bernadette is called Masabiel - an anagram of Belisama. And it equally holds up if you vary the spelling to Massabielle. Roman legions occupying Gaul at the time used to go to Lourdes for the waters.

It seems that the Druids were there with the miracles first, but nothing unusual in that !!!
