And this is costing at least another billion per annum in health and hospital services, schooling and further education , especially English language facilities/training for most of these immigrants.

And as I write plane loads of immigrants, boatloads of immigrants, are arriving. Many of them are penniless to such an extent that Irish charitable organisations meet the wave of incomers at Ireland's airports and seaports offering them tea, coffee, soup and sandwiches, blankets etc., taxi's to emergency accommodation, more taxi's to the State welfare offices the following day.

Ireland is now, with a population of only some 3,750,000 Irish left in the Republic, the most open , welcoming and paying country on the planet for immigrants.

Poles, Lithuanians and Nigerians top the list of immigrants to Ireland now, still pouring in for Irish welfare, called "The Dole" as the great news of Ireland's generous welfare provisions for all no matter where they're from spreads like lightning to all parts of the Earth - as far away as Brazil and Bangladesh.

And the Irish wonder why they're bust:-)

Here's why:

The disgraced former Irish Government consisting of a coalition of the Fianna Fail ( Soldiers of Destiny) Party with some Greens, was always known as "The Builder's Party". They became real pally with top property developers who oiled the government party and several of its politicians with a lot of money down the years. So they decided , back in 2002-2004, with their developer and banker pals , to get a million immigrants in, that enough of them would get jobs and businesses going in the country to buy even more houses that they would build. And they did. Today in August 2011 300,000 of those houses that were built lie disused and three-quarters built in what are called " the Ghost Estates" right throughout Ireland. The million immigrants they wanted came, but didn't buy, despite being offered 100% mortgages by the banks - thus the Irish financial crash of September 2008. Billions were borrowed from Irish banks who couldn't lend fast enough ( as the bank staffs were on commission!) , and the Irish banks were borrowing , finally on 24-hour loans from international financiers ( called bondholders) worldwide, but mainly in Germany and France.

Simultaneously the disgraced former Irish government sent their jobs Minister Mary Harney to Warsaw on Polish EU accession in June 2004 to run an Irish jobs fair in Warsaw , she went on Polish television and begged for a million Polish and eastern European workers to come to Ireland promising them welfare, free health and hospitals and education - even council housing if they didn't take up the generous Irish free mortgages schemes offered by the Irish banks to buy their own houses!

And while this was been done they lowered all immigration controls at the country's airports and seaports where the Irish officials were ordered to stop nobody and let everybody in to stay - they are still thus ordered as i write.

So in the short space of seven years, from 2004 to 2011 ( today) one in every four persons in the Republic is now an immigrant , and the Eastern Europeans are here to stay as their Dole at home is only forty Euro a week compared to the Irish rate they are receiving of five times that at around 200 Euro a week, plus 150 Euro rent allowance per week, plus fifty Euro childrens' allowance per child per week , beats working - in fact were a Pole to be working full-time back home in Poland he or she would not get anything near that in wages, in fact about one-third of it.

But wait, now the present Irish government is caught - they have to continue paying out this punishing money to the immigrants , or else the Eastern European governments, who are delighted with all the billions of remittances sent home by their emigrants in Ireland to their families in Eastern Europe, will withdraw support for favourable terms for Ireland at EU level in the continuing Irish EU/IMF Bail-Out Saga. But in any case the Irish government and politicians simply love to pay out to all and sundry who wander into Ireland - so that they won't be seen as racist , but rather as Jolly Good decent Fellows...

Well, they are that, sure enough - spending most of the Bail-Out loans that the Irish taxpayer has to foot, as well as about 400,000 Irish unemployed in annual cuts to their own dole! Yes, it's easy to be nice and jolly on everybody Else's money except your own:-)

Ireland's future prospects: ZERO!

The Mask of Bernadette.

Lourdes today has more hotels than any French city except the Capital, Paris ! Over 400 million pilgrims have made their way there from all over the world and continue to visit there at a rate of 8 millions a year.

Little do they know, most of them, about the whereabouts of the body of Bernadette and the strange claims of the Catholic Church about the incorruptibility of her corpse. She is one of the many declared "Incorruptibles" in death, declared by the Church, right down from the time of the pious King of England Alfred the Great, whose body is declared incorruptible for a thousand years by the Church, although it seems his bones are buried under the central aisle of Westminster Abbey, London.

And Bernadette's body is virtually "hidden away" within the cloisters of the Mother House of her Order, The Sisters of Charity at Nevers in Central France just south of Paris, far away from Lourdes. It is contained in a Crystal Coffin there, but is far from uncorrupted ! Her skull is covered by a wax mask made in 1925 especially in Paris. Remove the mask and let us see !!!

Read the Church's own account :

http://www.catholicpilgrims.com/lourdes/bb_bernadette_body.htm

And note that three exhumations and multiple operations on Bernadette's body up to 1925 (we had the final report in 1928 by a Catholic doctor as described in the above url) are each attended by trusted Catholics only, no media present, no photographs.

I say, remove that mask and let us photograph her skull !!!

There is much strange about the so-called visitations and "miracles" of Lourdes, just as at Fatima and Knock, where such "visions" were also seen by peasants. I reckon these impoverished people were persuaded to state that they had seen apparitions, paid even to do so.

Such visions came at critical times for the Church, and always in Catholic countries such as France, Spain and Ireland at the time. Bernadette's visions have created a huge industry, but much more important they were used to promote the adoption and pronunciation by the Pope a few years later of the Doctrine of the Immaculate Conception, which was almost splitting the Church at the time.

Look this article up and see all the holes in it, produced as "evidence" by the "Faithfull" today who need such "miracles" to bolster their Faith.

The Creator has no need of such circuses !

http://www.catholicpilgrims.com/lourdes/bb_bernadette_body.htm

Historically, two thousand years ago Lourdes was the centre of the local Druid worship of the Goddess Belisama, and the cave where she appeared at Lourdes to little Bernadette is called Masabiel - an anagram of Belisama. And it equally holds up if you vary the spelling to Massabielle. Roman legions occupying Gaul at the time used to go to Lourdes for the waters.

It seems that the Druids were there with the miracles first, but nothing unusual in that !!!
Ar aghaidh le Drui na h-Eireann !

The Peace of Tara be with you, always

Ar aghaidh le Drui na h-Eireann !

The Way We Were - IRA Gun Battle, Belfast, Ireland

And the Way we Are : PEACE. And I think, Tara Midsummer this year was yet another Wash Out two years in a row ! So where will I go for Lughnasadh ? With yet more rain threatening, I've decided to stay at home here in Kilkenny, call up a few Druid friends and enjoy ourselves at Kilkenny Castle, going up the top of the Round Tower at the old Anglican cathedral (built on the ancient Druid Mound here), drinking from the ancient Well of Kenny nearby - they say the water is healing, and, of course, celebrate in our very own Druid Grove down by the old "canal" which in fact is a beautiful nature preserve along the banks of the river Nore..."flow on lovely river, flow gently along" (The Rose of Mooncoin). There is a quaint lovely tourist hostel in the city centre here, at Parliament Street beside the Watergate Theatre, which is not at all hard on the pocket, cheap but good B&Bs as well, and most important of all, nobody here pays a blind bit of attention to pagans and Druids in robes around the city streets, variously called "Ye Faire Citie", and the "Marble City" (because black marble was quarried here). It is also called the Medieval Capital of Ireland, and with such fine old buildings as the Tholsel and Rothe House to name but two, is a delight, a virtual Heaven on Earth - isn't that what we all want ? It's there for you all, so, no, I am not going to "organise" anything, I'm far too old for that caper at 61 ! But I will do a few things: I'll supply tea and coffee free at my small townhouse here throughout the weekend, bickies etc too. I always do that providing you do the wash-up !!! You can have a drink at my house too, but I am not going to wet-nurse drunken people, I did enough of that !!! And the Garda Station is next door anyway, the neighbours are lovely and want Peace. I notice people here looking for Druid courses etc, so I'll throw in some teaching on the spot, and would love it if people throw in your own music, song and dance, poetry, art and crafts (there are some of the best pubs in Ireland here , reasonable prices too!). Personally I do not do the local pub scene anymore, got enough hassle from my 83-year-old mother nearby when I did . She's as tough as old Queen Meave ! And the Gardai too, bless them, they have a job to do and they're mostly good people. )Yeah you can have your Gange, doesn't everybody, none of my business ! I reckon we'll start off on a Friday night, 1st August, and go through until the Sunday night when we merry part to meet again. People who make trinkets etc are allowed free of charge to sell your delightful wares under the arches in the city centre at the Town Hall, the famous Tholsel. You can sell anything you like there and Saturday is a great day for business, busking etc. There's a lovely shop to the rear called "The Good Earth" for veggies and alternative life-stylers. And, as a pro photographer I'll take all your photos and put them up on the new website http://irishdruids.blogspot.com,/ and give you prints too if you want them, "I've been a photographer for a hundred years". And if people want a place for a meeting, if you get all official-like, you can book the meeting rooms at the central Club House Hotel for 25 euro for as long as you like. BTW, Kilkenny City is SAFE, little or no crime, people flood in here from Dublin and all over during the weekends. The pubs are almost all chock-a-block with young folk from everywhere, there's the famopus Langtons, where Eamonn has been known to give a pint on the house to anybody in a robe !!! And there's also the old witch Dame Alice Kyteler's 14th century tavern, "Kyteler's Inn", lovely coffee houses around where you can sit out under cover and enjoy the world passing by. There are some brand new hotels in the city centre too for the Affluent Druid. People posting here can get to know and love one another, dancing in the streets - plenty of trad and rock music here too. So come one, come all, with your rituals and all, plenty of LUV assured... Cheers, Michael. suns. "

- Michael McGrath, Archdruid of Ireland, on Tara, 1993.

The Truth against the World - that famous Druidic motto- is a contentious phrase. It is one that deserves our closest consideration, especially among Druids, because meditation upon its meaning reaches to the heart of our being, what we are, what we do, the way we live our lives on both our inner and our outer planes.

One of the questions often asked of adherents of religions, faiths or churches (and especially of mystery traditions like Druidry) is - Why ? Why Christianity ? Why Islam? Why Buddhism ? Why Druidry ? Of course the question has much to do with where you were born. In these islands of Britain and Ireland, and in North America, Australia etc. we have to a great extent a choice concerning what spiritual path we tread. Although England, for instance, has always been a Christian country, this is now little more than a political facade. The old ways are still strong and there is a relatively free choice in how people decide to express themselves spiritually (we have not completely reached this point in Ireland yet). If you were born in Belfast, Tehran or salt lake City, your path is chosen and it takes a particular kind of courage and strength to break away from the path presented as the 'true' the 'only' one, and choose another.

This may not seem relevant to the questions we here address, but it is. No matter how much we may discuss matters and come to conclusions, such disputations are of little use if the results are not applicable to our everyday lives and to our spiritual quest. This is one reason why philosophy has become so devalued over the past couple of centuries. It has become, like the Law, so concerned with semantics that it has lost sight of the concerns of everyday life, and has recently failed to keep abreast of the scientific discoveries and medical advances and to explain their significance.

Let us therefore step back to our first purpose, which is to consider what we might mean by placing the Truth against the World. An Fhirinne in aghaidh an Domhain - The Truth against the World - The first extant expression of this saying is to be found in one of the versions of the Audacht Morann (The Will of Morann MacCairbre, a first-century Druid Brehon).

It is a curious and even a quaint phrase worthy of inclusion, say, in The Sermon on the Mount. Certainly its ambiguities make it difficult to comprehend in one sense, but this very quality makes it an excellent teaching device. Remember, our ancient Druids spoke in riddles so that only those dedicated to learning could easily understand.

So in trying to unravel its shades of meaning we have to investigate ideas and concepts of meaning that might otherwise be passed over. Moreover, no one interpretation will provide a definitive explication. We must bring our own experience, thoughts, traditions and our years of hard study to its elucidation.

It therefore stands for all times a means of helping us to look at the Truth, the World, and how these have stood, and stand, in relation to each other across the aeons, particularly today when Fact, Law and Justice can actually conflict and be at such odds, one with another, as they so often are. There is too a Druidic defiance about it.

The Bright Heart of Truth.

Truth does not lend itself to comprehensive definition.

(I have actually been slandered by a man who read that tiny sentence, stopped here, and chopped these 8 words out, presenting them in isolation on the Internet, what earthly chance have you, especially on the Internet, against a 'talent' like that ! ).

The more complex any attempt at a definition of Truth, just like Justice or any other such concept, becomes, the further it gets away from one. Truth has to be felt in the heart as well as understood in the head. Truth is always relative - it depends upon the culture in which it is held. One of the big problems with Truth is that it can all too often be concerned solely with language. In our society it has become all too prevalent to believe the printed word, bedevilled by the world of public relations, multi-media advertising campaigns and Internet social competition.

In our world today Truth is really about language. Can you be innocent in Irish and guilty in English ? So Truth must not be limited to language, which in itself is but a small part of the realm of Truth. Nor does Truth belong to the big battalions as they bombard us night and day from the mass hypnotiser in the corner of the living room. Truth belongs to the much wider world of our Being. It applies to our thoughts, words, deeds and behaviour, and even more...

Above all Truth applies to our ideals and our actions in the bright heart of our Druid souls where the Spirit burns brighter than a thousand suns.

It only takes common sense to realise that language is a very limited and indeed ill-suited medium to express Truth. Not only, as you realise when you listen to lawyers in court and politicians in parliament, is it so very easy to manipulate language to create plausible falsehoods, but language is also a medium that deals with only a small part of human experience. Any follower of the Druid Mystery Tradition will be only well aware of that. If we confine our discussion and understanding of Truth solely to language then we confine ourselves to a tyrannical system that does not reflect the bright world. Language is a narrow-valued medium used to convey information about a multi-valued world.

Too much emphasis on language can mean less of Truth. Language is a black-and-white photograph trying to convey a multi-coloured world. It simply cannot be done. White Man may not speak with forked tongue but his language may do so.

Even of Druidry only one quarter of instruction can be carried out in writing, one quarter in oral language, one quarter in practice, and the rest in experience of the World of Spirit.

We must consider Truth in a much wider perspective. A reconsideration is highly necessary at this important juncture in Druidic evolution. Truth itself has to apply to and derive from all things, taking on extra dimensions that may take it out of the realms of mere language onto a higher plane that applies to the rightness and fitness of all things in ways that are made manifest to the world. Falsehood can then be recognized in its many mazes and hidden dangers. .

It is very easy to wander around the Druid forest, aimlessly, and to emerge having seen or heard nothing at all. After gathering the flowers of the forest, if we wish to see the true light of the sun, if we wish to teach unto others something of what we have learned, if we seek emerging out of the trees to serve the outer as well as the inner planes, we must be careful where we go.

In stating that Truth in its widest sense has much to do with the rightness and fitness of things, I am not simply putting forward some new-fangled notion as we see modern cultists spring on the unwary, I am stating the belief of our ancestors that all things are connected, part of the whole. To our ancient Druids this was the natural order of things in which Truth is the preserving shrine. They did not separate spirit, politics, culture, this world, Otherworld, although they recognised fully the differences between them, all these things that we separate into faculties, professions and bureaucracies today.

Nor did they separate their thoughts, words and deeds, their temporal and spiritual being, nor the world from the universe, star from stone.

(To be continued)

Ar aghaidh le Drui na h-Eireann !

Fire from the Mouth !

Verily Dragons,
Our ancient druids often 'spoke in a riddle', leaving it to the recipient to work out the received wisdom.

Traces of the Druidic oral lore, as rediscovered by us in an Irish-speaking Gaeltacht locality, refers to An Fuinneamh, The Energy, meaning the telluric force of earth energies. this earth energy is not uni-directional, but pulses back and forth along the ley lines in a similar way to alternating current (it's at right angles to the Earth's magnetic field), although it has a much slower frequency, of days.

The Irish word Neamh crops up regularly too. The best title for a student Druid was Nem, the stem of Neamh, which can mean 'Nothing' or 'Nothingness' on the one hand, or 'Heaven' on the other. From Nemed we have the Nemedians, a caste of high magical Druids. The student is entering in from the 'Nothingness' of the outer world to be initiated in stages. 'Ar n-athair ata ar Neamh' begins the Lord's Prayer in Irish - the early translators certainly knew their Druidry !

In English we have Beltane, which is a major Druidic festival, given different meanings up to now. here at, at last, I give the real meaning of this festival, it's real significance in the sacred Druidic year of the adepts, lying behind and energising the old pastoral year. Beltane is the English language corruption of Bealtaine, most know that.

Beal-Taine = Mouth Fire, Beal-Taine = Mouth Saga !

Of course ! A double initiation when under the first quarter of the moon the student was initiated. He or she was given the fire in the mouth to intone the magical words in divination and consecrated as a Faidh (pronounced Fawee and meaning a Diviner-Druid or Seer-Prophetess).
'Beal' means 'mouth' in Irish. Druidry has never had anything to do with the Canaanite god Baal. No matter - most latter-day Druids are probably monotheist.

From Bealtaine onwards the newly initiated Faidh was busy in preparation for the great solar festival of the Summer Solstice, Midsummer Day, when that great festival and council was held (not, as today, on Tara, as Tara is a Samhain celebratory site) . The newly consecrated Faidh had to train for a further nine years (3 x 3) to become a Druid.

Again, we see that the festival of Imbolg was always held on the sixth day of the new moon (1x2x3). The aspirant was initiated as a Neamh into the Order of Druids at Imbolg, which had degenerated into a peasant's festival, being ignored by the Irish Druids around 200 A.D.

The Great Festival of Samhain was held under the last quarter of a waning moon. It was not the end of the Irish Druidic Year. That happened and was precisely measured by the old Watchers of the Skies at Newgrange at Midwinter Solstice, the death and rebirth of the sun. This is the time when the greatest of Druids were consecrated as Masters. There was no fixed amount of years to achieve the grade of master Druid, but it generally took a total of thirty years in the Order, the period of one complete orbit of Saturn around the sun. There is reference to the Druidic times of nineteen, based on the Metonic Cycle of 18.6 years of the moon, and the Saturn Orbit respectively - The Druid was consecrated after one Saturn Return in the Order.

We know of several ways in which the Druids were able to utilise the telluric force of earth energy. Many tons of different stones, including the British stones that went into Newgrange, and in return the Irish stones that went into Stonehenge, were moved hundreds of miles, even across rivers, lakes and seas. The Druids were the engineers at either end of the major ley lines, supervising the high points, from Valentia Island (home of Mogruith !) to the Isle of Mona, their Holy Island of Holyhead. The stones moved along these major ley lines at the exact planetary times, when the forces were right, according to the relative forces of the solar wind and the planets as they moved into a precise pattern. The Druids intoned the magical words of command and the stones moved along the ley lines smoothly to their destinations - unscratched ! As one line ended, say at Mona, there was a 'junction' where another ley line took over the task. These stones did not touch the ground. They hovered across land and sea. The words of command are inherent in words in the Irish language.

They came into the Land of Ireland, went on to Britain and Gaul, spread throughout Europe on an earlier Druidic mission of advancing civilisation. They went into the Land of Isis and there wrought and raised the wondrous Pyramids. they shone across the Land of Sumer and made great astronomers along the Tigris, the Euphrates, as far as Ur of the Chaldees.

"Yes, the divine ones were here and they are gone ! "

Thus spake Zarathustra.
Ar aghaidh le Drui na h-Eireann !<img width='1' height='1'
